Sendme is a lightweight, command-line P2P file transfer utility developed by n0-computer that enables direct, secure exchange of individual files or entire directories between machines without relying on centralized servers. Built on the iroh peer-to-peer stack, the application establishes ephemeral, NAT-penetrating connections between sender and receiver, encrypting traffic end-to-end and verifying integrity through BLAKE3 hashes. Typical use cases include quickly sharing large video assets between creative workstations, deploying build artifacts to remote testers, synchronizing datasets among research collaborators, or distributing firmware images to edge devices in the field; because transfers happen over short-lived relay circuits, no permanent cloud storage is required and no account registration is necessary. The tool is distributed as a single portable executable for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is invoked with a one-line command that prints an alphanumeric ticket; the recipient types the same command plus the ticket to initiate the download, after which the connection is torn down automatically. Since its first public preview the project has progressed through twenty-nine releases, with the current stable build numbered 0.32.0 incorporating incremental improvements to connection establishment, congestion control, and progress reporting. Although positioned in the File Sharing category, Sendme’s underlying iroh framework also exposes libraries for building custom sync, backup, and messaging solutions, making the binary both a standalone utility and a reference implementation of a modern, privacy-first transfer protocol. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources (e.g. winget), always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
